Pregnancy is a beautiful and unique time in a woman's life, and we want to help you capture that beauty with our maternity sessions. Our experienced photographers will work with you to create stunning portraits that showcase the beauty of your pregnancy.
Our Maternity photography session’s aim to capture the joy and excitement of this amazing transformative journey of becoming a mother and we aim to do this by capturing you in an elegant and glamorous way, using our amazing outfits, props and lighting.
During your session we will capture a variety of different poses & outfits and you are welcome to bring your partner, children or pets too.
We recommend scheduling your session between 30 - 35 weeks as this is when your bump should be quite prominent and you won’t feel the discomfort that normally arises during the final weeks of pregnancy, allowing you to fully enjoy your session.
Newborn
The arrival of a newborn is a special and wonderful time for any family. Our newborn sessions are designed to capture the pure innocence and beauty of your new addition. Our experienced photographers will work with you to create beautiful and timeless portraits of your newborn.
We recommend booking in your newborn session within the first four weeks of your babies life as this stage is so precious and will pass by in a blink of an eye. During this timeframe your baby is more likely to sleep more soundly allowing us to capture their beautiful and angelic poses.
To ensure that we can accommodate your session it is best to book at least a month in advance, then we will have a rough idea of when baby is due to arrive. By booking ahead of time this will give us the opportunity to be fully prepared to capture these wonderful and precious fleeting moments of your child’s life.
We maintain a warm and cosy temperature in the studio to create a nurturing environment for your baby ensuring that they feel comfortable and at ease during your session. We also provide white noise, changing area, spare nappies, spare baby wipes and a kitchen area should you need to warm up your babies milk.
During our newborn session’s we allow 3 hours as we understand the importance of feeding and comforting your baby during this time. Our top priority is you and your child’s well being and our aim is to create a soothing and relaxing atmosphere where you and your baby feel calm, happy and content. By creating this atmosphere we are able to document this truly magical moment for you and your family.
Sitter session’s
At Photo Magic we believe in the importance of capturing your babies first year of life, your babies first year is full of so many exciting moments and our sitter session’s aim to capture one of your child’s biggest milestone’s which is when your baby learns to sit up! These session’s are usually done between 6-9 months when your baby is safely able to sit up on their own unaided. We also encourage bringing in some of your babies favourite foods as we know that during this time your baby may have started weaning, a good example would be fruit like strawberries, lemon or oranges as these photograph really well and these are great options for getting those cute expressions from your child, but this is optional.
During this stage of your baby’s life we also start to see a lot more of their personality and we are able to capture a lot of your baby’s adorable expression’s, such as their big smiles and giggles, they are also able to interact more with people and their environment and we provide an array of beautiful costumes and props to capture your baby in a variety of different poses and styles to bring out your babies beautiful personality.
Cake Smash
Our Cake smash sessions are designed to celebrate and capture your babies first birthday in a fun, memorable and joyful way. We'll work with you to create a playful and fun environment for you and your child, so we can capture all of those messy and playful memories to last a lifetime.
During this session we will not only take some beautiful portraits of your child before, during and after they smash their birthday cake but we will also provide a lovely warm milk bath to be photographed in after so that they always end up nice and clean, this allows your child to fully enjoy the experience and also ensure no added stress for you.
*Cakes are provided by parents due to allergies and intolerances. You are also welcome to have some family portraits taken during this session too.
We advise to book this photoshoot at least a month in advance so that we have enough time to plan and prepare for this session, we also provide a variety of different backdrops for you to choose from to suit the style and theme that you desire. Outfits can be provided by us and we also provide towels for after the milk bath.
